If Comcast Cared

(parody of Nickelback song) For those that are wondering (because I've complained about this a lot over the past 3 months that it's been flaky -as it is now- or just plain DOWN for hours on end - which it is at this very moment- ), I checked with AT&T about DSL about a month or so back... and they can't offer DSL in my area till 1/1/08. I can't wait! :-). This is not quite as funny for me now (even though I tried to be and laughed a little as I was dreaming it up with my Internet down), but it will be much more so soon.. haha :) "If Comcast Cared" (Based on "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback) From my Starbucks seat, I watch passers-by Checking the news that's passed on by I never dreamed that I'd be online But here I am, e-mails are mine Singing Amen I, I'm online Singing Amen I, I'm online [Chorus:] If Comcast cared, if they really tried To fix my home Internet every time that it died If they would just respond and
Now, I'm going to let out a dirty little secret about me... When I was growing up... ok, I still do this... the first page I reach for in the newspaper is the comics section. Yes, even today... even before the Sports page. I love the comics. One of my favorites of course is Peanuts and good 'ol Charlie Brown, and one of the quotes that I love the most from Charlie Brown is "Happiness is a warm puppy" (when he's hugging Snoopy). Happiness is... "Chillaxin on the beach with a good book and the sound of the waves crashing in your ears." "Toasting to awesome friends over a good bottle of Spanish wine." "Getting an encouraging handwritten note in the mail" (even better when it's laced with perfume) "Having your frie
The 2007 Peachtree Road Race Happy Independence Day & Happy 231'st birthday America!!! :-). It is really good to live in the Land of the free and the home of the brave. This morning, I ran in the 38th running and my personal second running of the traditional Atlanta Peachtree Road Race. It was a lot of fun this year - I started out in time group 4, which was a great thing for me because I started in time group 9 last year and I can defintely tell what a difference starting 40-50 minutes earlier makes, especially on a Hotlanta summer day. I finished in slightly more than one hour (less than 61 minutes)... which was especially good considering that I walked during the last 1000 feet or so of "cardiac hill," along most of the water stations, and defintely for the Planet Smoothie smoothie stop in Mile 5 (Yum!). I'm wearing the t-shirt now :-). A few tidbits from the race: Favorite
