The differences between men and women

Last night, I hosted a dinner club outing for myself and some friends at Two Urban Licks, an incredible trendy restaurant in East Atlanta... I highly recommend. Dishes I would recommend include: The banana cupcake, the scallops, and the duck with sweet potato puree... def get the calimari appetizers... they rock.

At the end of the evening, I went to work out the check-splitting with the waiter and came back to find our table, which had formerly been arranged in the best "boy-girl-boy-girl" fashion before split into the "junior high dance" configuration of all the girls on one side of the table and all of the boys on the other side of the table. The girls wanted a picture taken with all of them together... which turned out very well.



Now, the girls wanted to reciprocate this by getting an all-boys picture... this is what we (they) got...


Oh NO!   What's coming?  


Maybe if I look away then they will not point that thing at me and shoot....

Too much stress... this is driving me to drink 
(btw - these were the water bottles in case you're going to send a "now, boys... you're getting out of control" email ;0) )



Ok... we're caught, let's look quasi-smooth...

After the Red Sea: A redeemed people that didn't trust (or love) their God (Exodus 16-17)

The newly freed Israelites, after having seen God's mighty works in Egypt in rescuing them from slavery and delivering them through the Red Sea... You would have thought that they would be full of worship, praise, and love for God who did this deliverance on their behalf. Well, they did, for a hot second (Exodus 15). Immediately after being delivered, they break out in song on the other side of the Red Sea and sing praises to God. But it's not soon after, that they start complaining. I mean, they complain (or "grumble") a lot. The B(C)S Strikes Again

I'm laughing, again.  Somehow, some big conference elites somewhere are trying to sell college football fans that the BCS (Bowl Championship Series) is a flawless way to determine who should play for a national college football championship.  Every year, the "system" flirts with controversy, and manages to bring up some really good points over the years.   One of the classic arguments that they like to bring up is... "Every game counts" Hmmmmm .... what about Texas 45, Oklahoma 35?   In the BCS standings now, guess who's #2?   OU ... who's #3?  t.u.  ....Every game counts, eh?   Apparently , "what have you done for me lately" and a bunch of computers spitting stats count a lot more now than the results on the field.... too funny.   In a twist of fate, the Big XII South, arguably the best division in college football, has a three way tie for first place with three teams at 7-1 (11-1 overall) and all ranked in the top 7 in the BCS standings.
